We are in the Home Stretch of the 2018-2019 PTO Season.
Field Day
The Field Day preparations are in full swing. We look forward to good weather and a great time. The students really look forward to this during the last week of school. It is planned for June 17th. The PTO and it’s volunteers are working with Mr. Wnek and staff to make it a success. Stay tuned for additional information and items needed for this day. Please contact Devon Smith or your class parent for the volunteer and food needs for Field Day.
2019-2020 PTO COMMITTEE SIGN-UPS
Every year at the last PTO meeting the sign ups for ALL committees and Class Parents are made available. This year, as in the past, the sign up sheets will be available at the last PTO meeting on June 18th at 8:30am. If you are committed and interested in a committee or class parent position, this will be the first available opportunity to sign up. This year the descriptions for each committee will be provided on the sign up sheet so each person understands the duties that they are committing to.
After June 18th the list will reside in the Sea Girt Elementary School Office so it is centrally located for all who are interested. As has always been the standard with the Sea Girt PTO, a class parent position should rotate each year. Meaning that the same parents should not be signing up for the class parent position if they performed that duty the year prior. This standard was established many years ago in order to give other parents the availability to have this position. If a position is not filled we will certainly reach out to all in order to make sure each class has the appropriate number of class parents.
Upcoming Events
Due to the feed back and turnout we are going to alternate the PTO meetings moving forward to try to reach a broader audience. The next meeting will be June 18th , Tuesday and will be in the morning at 8:30 am at Shore Pour on Washington Avenue. We are hoping for another good turnout and the support of class representatives. We will be discussing all the great upcoming events and also the filling the volunteer needs. We encourage the class parents to attend to receive the most updated information.

- PTO Meetings – You’re invited! Please join us monthly to discuss current issues, fundraising, events, volunteering, programs, goals, and anything else important to supporting our school.
- In Person – You can always approach anyone on the PTO board at school, on the playground, around town, or any way you choose.
Please let us know what’s working for you (and what isn’t). If there is anything would like to see us do differently, please let us know. We’re listening on all channels!
The PTO thanks all the families for their continued support in moving forward all the activities and fundraisers throughout the year. Without the support of the administration and families we could not meet our mission.
